The Studio is conveniently located on the east bank of the flats...close to superb dining, art, and shopping downtown or in Ohio City and Tremont. Drop off your young yogis and yoginis for an afternoon filled with yoga, meditation, and a holiday gift making extravaganza. Participants will experience an energetic yoga class, a relaxing meditation, and come home with some great hand made holiday gifts for friends and family! Led by The Studio's yoga teacher Colleen O'Rourke, Kundalini yoga instructor This unique yoga/movement intensive summer program provides children ages 5-12 with an introduction to yoga and meditation, as well as fun, high energy activities, yoga related arts and crafts, story times, and more. Colleen will lead fun, age appropriate yoga classes each day; kids will learn sun salutations and basic standing and balancing poses, as well as yogic breathing and meditation.
1:00-1:30- arrive, center, introduce theme
1:30-2:00- icebreakers and cooperative games
1:30-2- yoga and meditation
2:00-2:30- snack, story
2:30-3:00- activity ideas: -mandalas -art project- -origami -tie dyes -karma yoga activity
-plant world- paint a small pot and plant an herb- mint or lemon balm
3-3:45- special presentations
3:45- 4- journal and closing
THE COST OF THE CAMP IS $125 PER WEEK WITH $10 OFF EACH REGISTRATION FOR EACH ADDITIONAL SIBLING OR FRIEND ($115 for second sibling, $105 for third, and so on). Children need to bring a sack lunch, an inexpensive yoga mat, a towel, and a water bottle.
